WHAT TO EXPECT
ARRK Engineering is part of the international ARRK group of companies and
specialized in product development. Within the ARRK group of companies
we implement product developments from virtual development to
prototypes and small series production.
Join us for a comprehensive 3-week summer practice program (29.06.2026 - 17.07.2026) at ARRK, where you'll dive into the complete product development process in automotive engineering. You'll sketch concepts, design 3D parts using CatiaV5 and evaluate their mechanical performance using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Additionally, you'll gain insights into Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Digitalization & Software methods, including a brief introduction to Python. This program is unpaid, includes lunch and culminates in a certificate of completion.
YOUR TASKS
- Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
- Learn and practice using internal software systems and expand your knowledge with the support of experienced professionals.
- Sketch and design 3D components using best practices in CatiaV5.
- Prepare your components for Finite Element Analysis using ANSA (BETA CAE Systems).
- Evaluate the mechanical behavior of components using NASTRAN/ABAQUS and interpret the results using Metapost/Animator
- Delve into the software world of the automotive development, learning about vehicle communication protocols and software development processes, including a brief introduction to Python.
- Assist in testing and validating software components and systems. Support data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Attend presentations by different departments in the company, further expanding your knowledge of the field and current industry methods.
YOUR PROFILE
- Students entering their final year with technical background (Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Computer science, Physics or equivalent) with good grades.
- Good English skills: conversational level B2.
- Proactive and reliable attitude.
- An interest in the automotive domain or enthusiasm for cars is a plus and develop a career in the field.
