WHAT TO EXPECT

Ready to drive innovation in thermal simulation across borders? We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer (CFD/Thermal Simulation) to join our international team and lead simulation projects in the automotive sector. If you are passionate about fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and working in a multicultural environment, we would love to hear from you!

YOUR TASKS

YOUR PROFILE

In this role, you will dive deep into the world of thermal and fluid simulations across a wide range of automotive applications—from vehicle interiors and lighting systems to under-hood thermal management and HVAC. Using powerful tools like Star CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, and OpenFOAM, you will tackle complex physical phenomena such as thermal comfort, aerodynamics, hydraulics, and thermal runaway.

 You’ll be responsible for:

    • Developing and delivering high-quality simulation solutions that meet project goals and timelines.
    • Ensuring all engineering work aligns with company and customer quality standards.
    • Validating simulation results against experimental data and continuously improving methodologies.
    • Automating workflows, optimizing processes, and contributing to best practices.
    • Presenting your findings to design teams and clients in a clear and impactful way.
    • Collaborating across disciplines and with European offices to enhance products and solve technical challenges.

We’re looking for a skilled CFD Engineer with a strong background in the automotive development process and a passion for simulation-driven innovation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Solid experience in CFD, ideally within the automotive sector
  • Successfully completed initial CFD simulation projects
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics
  • Hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent, Star CCM+, or OpenFOAM
  • Familiarity with the Škoda toolchain and VW Group development processes is a plus
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g. Catia) and preprocessing software (e.g. ANSA) is beneficial
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and Czech; German is a plus
