System Test Engineer - Automotive Infotainment (Display) (m/f/d)

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Testing FO / Test Manager to focus on the validation and testing of automotive infotainment systems, with a primary emphasis on displays, touchscreens, and user interfaces. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests to ensure the functionality, quality, and performance of advanced infotainment systems in line with industry and customer standards.

  • This hands-on position requires a strong technical background in infotainment system validation, familiarity with automotive display technologies, and a keen eye for detail. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality products to market.

YOUR TASKS

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Test Planning: Create detailed test plans, protocols, and schedules for validating infotainment systems.
  • Testing Execution: Conduct functional, performance, and durability tests on automotive displays and infotainment components.
  • Analyze test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, or performance issues, and generate detailed reports with root cause analysis and improvement recommendations.
  • Work with software, hardware, and project teams to resolve issues uncovered during testing.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing tools, processes, and methodologies, particularly for infotainment and display validation.
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in Automotive Testing & Validation: At least 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong focus on validation, testing, and quality assurance for automotive systems.
  • Software & Firmware Expertise: Hands-on experience with software and firmware flashing, version control, and troubleshooting flashing-related issues in automotive systems.
  • Technical & Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in automotive communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN) and experience with measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies for testing and debugging.
  • Testing Tools & Automation: Experience with functional and performance testing, knowledge of testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, integration testing), and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence. Programming skills in Python, C++, or scripting languages for automation are a plus.
  • Possessing strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a results-driven attitude; identifying and resolving issues, collaborating with diverse teams, managing multiple deadlines efficiently, and continuously striving for excellence in every project.
