WHAT TO EXPECT

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cockpit Electronics Defect Manager to join our team. In this role, you would be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing product defects throughout the automotive development and production lifecycle and to discuss solutions with supplier. Your expertise will ensure the timely resolution of software and hardware issues, maintaining the highest quality standards and compliance with industry requirements.

  • The successful candidate will have a technical background in automotive electronics, exceptional organizational skills and a passion for driving innovation in cockpit systems. The Defect Manager should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

YOUR TASKS

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Defect Management & Resolution: Lead defect management activities within the project by collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Track resolution progress to ensure timely issue closure.
  • Defect Identification: Continuously monitor and analyze software development testing data to detect bugs and generate detailed bug reports
  • Defect Analysis: Perform preliminary defect analysis, classifying issues based on severity, impact, and root cause to support efficient resolution.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on defect trends, risks, and countermeasures to stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Act as the liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers regarding defect-related concerns and drive quality improvements.
 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in automotive system development processes or strong passion for automotive electronics, particularly in cockpit systems or related domains is an advantage
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of testing procedures and tools like Octane, Wireshark or CARMEN are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Tools like Jira, Confluence are not unknown to you.
  • German is an advantage.
